Most of our courses are competency based, meaning to pass you just need to be able to display a sufficient grasp of the course content. Because of this, students are free to submit, edit and re-submit assessments as many times as required to achieve the required level of competency. In the event a submitted answer is insufficient a training advisor will be in contact to discuss what is required.
Remember, we are here to help and support you throughout the learning journey. If you do not achieve the required outcome, we will work with you to ensure you successfully complete your course.
Each module you undertake has a status bar next to it on your course menu screen which will display one of three statuses: Not Yet Completed, Assessment Pending, and Competency Achieved.
Not Yet Completed: No assessment has been submitted for this module yet Assessment Pending: Assessment for this module has been submitted but is yet to be marked Competency Achieved: Assessment for this module has been submitted and marked competent
• Not Yet Completed: No assessment has been submitted for this module
• Assessment Pending: Assessment has been submitted but is yet to be marked
• Competency Achieved: Assessment for this module has been submitted and completed
Multiple-choice quizzes and tests are automatically marked and a result is available instantly. For written assessments, the marking is done individually by a designated training assessor. Depending on workload, submissions can be marked anywhere between 1 to 72 hours. The current status of all your assessments can be located on the menu screen of your course.
Short courses are made available for 3 months whilst certificate courses have a duration of 24 months. If you cannot complete your course inside this timeframe or have had to postpone then we are happy to extend your course, free of charge.
None. Each and every course is self-contained, meaning all the information you need to complete the assessments is covered in the course material. All our online courses are all self-paced, so you can move through them as quickly or slowly as you like.
A USI or Unique Student Identifier is a personal number which links all your nationally recognised training records. A USI is your individual education identifier for life and it creates an online record of your training attainments in Australia. As of January 1st, 2015, every student undertaking a course with a Registered Training Organisation (RTO) must have a USI. We cannot issue a certificate to any student without one.
For more information, please see:http://www.usi.gov.au
Obtaining a USI is free and can be done online via the Australian Government website www.usi.gov.au/your-usi/create-usi. We are unable to access a USI on your behalf, because you will need to provide personal information to verify your identity. Make sure you store this number somewhere safe as you will need to provide it for any future training.
If you have a USI but can’t locate or remember the number you can search for it on the Australian Government website. For more information, please see:http://www.usi.gov.au
An electronic copy of your certificate will be issued to you upon successful completion of your course, usually on the same day. Different courses have different reporting requirements, which may delay the issuing of your certificate. Please note, if you have not submitted your USI, we will not be able to issue your certificate.
If you complete after hours or on a weekend / public holiday, your certificate will be available on the next business day. You will receive an email informing you when your certificate is ready. We will always endeavour to get a copy of your electronic certificate to you as soon as possible.
The original certificate will be sent registered post and will arrive between 5-14 business days. You will need to be on hand to sign for it; otherwise it will be kept at your local post office, pending collection.
